Sung EucharistSung Eucharist First Sunday in Lent Very Rev Kenny Rathband During Lent we have an alternative service booklet similar to the one devised by Michael Paterson in 2018. We will all sing the Nigel Johnson Kyrie – Sanctus/Benedictus – Agnus Dei settings and the Rimsky-Korsakov Lord’s Prayer, and the lectionary psalms will be read responsively by the congregation in place of a gradual hymn. Our readings are: Genesis 2.15–17;3.1–7; Psalm 32; Romans 5.12–19; Stewarding and coffee by Team A

Sunday@Six - Taizé for LentSunday@Six - Taizé for Lent – Sunday@Six: Ross Stirling-Young will be leading a Taizé inspired service - The Joy of Turning to God - to begin your Lenten journey on 1 March at 6pm. This will be a time to focus on your heart and to think of your own spiritual heart and take part in short chants, prayers and times of silence. Please come and support Ross if you can at his final service with us during his placement. Refreshments will be served after the service. |

Sunday@Six - Embracing Lament in LentSunday@Six - Embracing Lament in Lent – Sunday@Six: We are delighted that our worship at 6pm ‘Embracing Lament in Lent’will be jointly led by Julia Reid, our Methodist Probationer Minister and the Rev Michael Paterson a service in which they will help us prepare ourselves for God’s solutions. Using some of the lamenting psalms, we will spend time giving over to God our unanswered prayers, our frustrations, our regrets and our physical, emotional, psychological pain, leaving them with Him, and preparing ourselves for his healing love.
