“How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people!” That’s the way that the King James version of the book of Lamentations starts. And what a good description it is of the situation that our towns find themselves in, with people distancing themselves, if not actually self-isolating, because of the COVID-19 virus!
The chapter goes on (verse 4) to say “The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts”, and of course that’s exactly what is happening with our not being able to meet together for worship. Fortunately, technology is able to help us, and there will be many on-line resources for you to access that will help you feel connected, especially on Sunday mornings. Some relevant ones are being collected and will be presented shortly on our new Resources page. Do browse there to keep connected. And of course we’ll be posting other news on this Noticeboard. There’s no need for you to “sit solitary”!
