Eddie Sykes writes: On Easter Sunday, 4 April, there will be a short service at the church, beginning at 11:15am, which will include the blessing of the Paschal Candle and Easter Holy Communion. If you wish to attend, you need to call or email David Salthouse by Saturday evening (3 April) at the latest.
I am afraid that we are only able to accommodate a total of 28 worshippers under the current Covid guidelines and restrictions. In worship you will be required to wear a face mask at all times; there will be no singing; you will be seated socially distanced apart (unless you are from the same household); and there will be no fellowship time or refreshments following the service. Sanitising stations are in place throughout the church building, and when you enter you will be asked to sign in following trace and protect protocols.
Providing there are no changes in the current progress of coming out of lockdown restrictions, Methodist services will take place on alternate Sundays at 11:00am throughout April and May on: 18 April; 2, 16 and 30 May. For all services, if you wish to attend, you will need to contact David Salthouse beforehand – until you are informed otherwise. There will continue to be a 9:45am on-line Zoom service every Sunday.
Please continue to pray for the church and its members, as we look forward to a brighter future together.
I express the thanks of us all to the cleaning teams and other persons involved in any way in maintaining and preparing the church for worship.
We give thanks to God for the hope he has given us in Jesus.
