From today’s news about German churches recommencing services, but in a coronavirus-restricted way, it seems that singing in public is currently deemed to be dangerous for the health. Very sad for all congregations, especially Methodist ones!

Thankfully, there is no health restriction on exercising your lungs at home … as part of RSCM’s offering in the current situation, they are encouraging everyone to join in singing their Hymn for the Day, found at https://www.rscm.org.uk/our-resources/hftd/. This is updated daily from Monday to Saturday, usually in the early afternoon, and supplemented by a “Sunday Self-Service”. The words appear on screen as the music plays.
